This series is currently a body of work in progress.

Veronica works with the ethos “my work is me”. She believes her paintings to be spontaneous expressions of her energy, embodying every constituent part of her.

As artists we constantly absorb our surroundings and and thus our work is rarely coincidental, every element - mark, drop, smudge and colour is derived from our surroundings, manifesting itself in a physical form on canvas.

Veronica has long been fascinated by the concept of “inner-child healing” in adults. Therapists commonly advise clients who feel patronised or triggered to participate in an activity which they would have enjoyed as a child to appease their ‘inner child’.

These words are embodiments of Veronica’s ‘inner child’ representing safe havens of fun, pleasure and offering an escape from the often harsh realities of adult life.
